Natural Horsemanship Training at Clearview

Experienced staff  specialises in Outdoor Obstacle Trail Riding. You will see by these pictures the outdoor trail course obstacles and we are continually building more around our 150 acres. Our experienced staff is especially experienced with gaited horses, mules and quarter horses. We enjoy colt starting, and we have two round pens to work from, inside and out, so the weather is not an issue in our training schedule. Natural Horsemanship Training is a given at Clearview. We help work out what your horse likes to do best, whether its trail riding, carriage riding, or in the show pen. Call for more information: (931) 684-8822.

Lessons

Experienced staff will be happy to give you a lesson on your own horse or one of our horses. Our staff show horses at all levels of competition, and are chosen for their proven abilities to ride in different disciplines.

A Letter from a Happy Customer...

Abby is doing so well! Everyone at the barn loves her now and can't believe that she is the same mule that I sent off for training back in October. She is such a pleasure to be around now. I can lead her anywhere I want to with just a leadrope around her neck (which makes it much easier for the barn owner to bring her in and put her right back out after feeding). She stands quietly for grooming and tacking up (no more hunching her back) and also stands for mounting. We are still working on getting her used to the mounting block but this has taken longer since I don't use it unless I'm riding in the round pen. Abby thinks the round pen is boring so we don't ride in there unless the pastures are too muddy. :) Anyone can ride her anywhere. We even had a 4 year old on her a few weeks ago. John has learned to tack her up on his own and he rides her all over the place. He is learning to trot on her. It is SO GREAT to see him trotting across the pasture on her without any help. He even goes out there on his days off while I'm at work.

I cannot say enough good things about Abby and I owe it all to you! I recommend Clearview to anyone I come across that needs training on either horses or mules. You are wonderful at what you do and I thank you for giving me such happiness! I will be looking for another mule for myself soon (as John is so comfortable with Abby) and will try my hand at breaking it myself with what you have taught me, but I will be calling you with a new project if I feel that I can't handle the job. lol

Attached is a pic of one of the mules that I am considering. She is a long yearling in the pic, but in reality is about 3 years old now. She is out of a Skipper W quarter horse mare and a mammoth jack. At 3 years old she stands about 16.1 hands. What are your thoughts on her conformation (keeping in mind that I would like a H/J type)? Thanks for any advice that you can give!
